Healthy Smiles

We recently photographed the new offices of Dr. Erin Roberts - Healthy Smiles - for ETown magazine. We then had the opportunity to create a piece using several of the images to display in the office entryway. Keep an eye out for the next issue of ETown!

Class of '09

As graduations in our area take place this week, we've enjoyed looking back over the senior portraits we've created this year. Here are a few of our favorites.

Congratulations graduates!

Recurring Theme

Another opportunity to preserve a great memory for a special military family. We are humbled and grateful for these projects.

I Hope You Dance

The young lady in this series absolutely loves dance. She is involved in several classes as well as a competitive dance team. We decided to show her enthusiasm by creating this composite image.

Take it Up a Notch

Although babies need very little retouch, a few subtle enhancements can take a great portrait and add just a little extra pop!

Clean Up Time

Before

After

Last month we had the unique opportunity to photograph renowned guitarist and Enid native, Brad Richter. Wess set up the camera room and then took lots of images of Brad and his fellow musician, cellist Viktor Uzur, playing their instruments, interacting with each other and just having a good time. One of Wess' favorite images of Brad was really nice, but Wess felt the background was a little distracting - so I cleaned it up! Here are the before and after.

Plus Three

Early in 2008 we photographed a multi-generational family. At the time, one group of family members wasn't available for the sitting. Fortunately, in December we photographed the three additional family members and through the magic of Photoshop added them to the portrait.

Happy Anniversary

We recently photographed one of our favorite clients for a 60th anniversary portrait. Since they did not have a portrait from their wedding, they brought in their high school senior portraits and asked if there might be some way to create a portrait of them together "back then". Here's how it unfolded (as well as the new portrait).

Sometimes merging the best from two images is the way to go for a great group portrait.

Spirit of '08 ('09)

The Enid Cheerleaders' calendar was such a success last year that they have created a new calendar for 2008-2009 as a fundraiser for uniforms, contests and other expenses. We had a great time creating images of the EHS senior cheerleaders and the junior/sophomore cheerleaders.

It's A Wrap

Alexys' portrait was easy to embellish, using flourishes and a pink
border to tie in with her costume. The portrait is mounted on
canvas which wraps around to the back, so no frame is necessary.
Stop by the new studio in Sunset Plaza (between Hobby Lobby and
Ross, in the corner next to Costello's) to see the finished product.

Martial Arts Girl

This senior is a serious martial arts student and her images made an interesting
composite. The colors in the close up image are belts she has earned in addition to
what she's wearing in the other images. And yes, she can break a board with her
bare hand!

Family Story

Sometimes we photograph large families as a big group, then break into smaller groups (Mom & Dad together, children together, grandchildren, etc.) Here's a grouping of this type of session put together in one image.

Because Life Changes Quickly

The images used for a display book we created show exactly how quickly
life changes. We've been blessed to document this family's special moments and
hope to continue their "story".
